Meath Tourism presents the first ever Meath Food Affair at Trim Castle Hotel on Thursday next the 25th of February (5.30pm-9pm) and in conjunction with Trim Castle Hotel are offering you the chance to don your chef hat and fulfil the dream of serving up a real restaurant meal in the high octane atmosphere of one of Meath’s busiest kitchens…for six of your family and friends!
Head Chef Sean McDonald will put you through your paces as you prepare a gourmet 5-course meal from scratch for your nearest & dearest – who will then grade your efforts!
As a runner-up prize, the award winning Signal Restaurant at the Station House Hotel are offering the chance for one lucky winner and 3 friends to hone their culinary skills at the hotel’s delightful cookery school. Under the watchful eye of Head Chef David Mulvihill, you will quickly become Meath’s next cooking sensation!

The first ever Meath Food Affair will see the county's leading restaurants & top chefs exhibiting & cooking at one of the most eagerly awaited culinary events of the year.
Celebrating Meath’s love of good food, the event is open to the public with free entry on the night. You will be able to rub shoulders with the culinary masters, watching and learning from their live cookery demonstrations. There will even be an opportunity to test your cooking skills in the great ‘Audience Vs Chef’ cook-off! There will be free tastings of the restaurants scintillating signature dishes throughout the evening!
The first ever Meath Food Affair aims to encourage as many people as possible to visit the restaurants of Meath after the event to try out their fantastic menus. Offering value for money special deals will be the focus of the event and all participating restaurants will be providing great menu deals which will be distributed on the evening.There will also be the opportunity to win meal prizes offered by the restaurants.
